Rennet and Mars Bars
Rennet is a substance extracted from the inner lining of young milk drinking mammals, primarily calves that contains rennin, an enzyme that is used to separate the curd (cheese before dried) from the whey (the liquid portion) when curdling (coagulating) milk. Interesting, why do you care? "Masterfoods" has started using rennet from 1 May 2007 and non-affected products had "best before date' up to 1 October 2007." (more...)
